  All this talk about the Disney Designer Villains Collection the last few days! It’s been really exciting and interesting seeing the reaction from fans. They definitely have people talking. For the most part people really seem to dig this take on these classic characters.  As an artist you worry, “will people understand, or enjoy what we are doing?” Taking classic characters and re-imagining them is never an easy task.  Expectations were high on these since the Princesses Designer Collection last year sort of came out of nowhere and was such a huge hit. So, there is a lot to live up to. I think that knowing these versions of the villains are not a replacement for the actual film characters is important. It’s a fun design spin on them. It’s the attitude, feeling or impression you get from each character.  I love our classic villains, and love that you are loving the “Designer Villains” as well. Which one is your favorite?
