A while back, shortly after I had been working on Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning, I was contacted to do the artwork for the new “Keep Oceans Clean” campaign featuring Ariel and her sisters. I was flattered to be asked and to be able to be a part of it, so I quickly got to work. I provided the rough poses for approval before doing the clean up on them myself, before handing them off to be illustrated. Quite a while passed and I was beggining to wonder if maybe they decided to go in another direction. That was until I found myself leaving the El Capitan theater and directly across Hollywood Blvd., when I saw this. A two story tall billboard on the side of the Hollywood and Highland shopping complex. I mean this is the home of the Oscars! It was one of the more crazy locations I have spotted my art. It stayed up for a few months and I was sad to see it go. But , I’ll always have this great picture so I can remember it.
